1. Information We Don't Collect

Breu is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• The text you read or paste into the app
• Your reading habits or preferences
• Personal information (name, email, etc.)
• Device identifiers or location data
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Any data that could identify you

2. How Your Data Stays Private

On-Device Processing

All text processing and analysis happens entirely on your device. When you paste text into Breu:

• The text is processed locally using your device's CPU
• Reading progress is saved only in your device's local storage
• No data is ever transmitted to external servers
• We have no servers collecting your information

Local Storage Only

The only data stored on your device includes:

• Your current text and reading position (for resume functionality)
• Your preferred reading speed (WPM)
• Your theme preference (Light/Sepia/Dark)

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time by deleting the app.

3. Share Extension

When using the Share Extension to send text from Safari or other apps:

• Text is transferred directly from the sharing app to Breu using iOS App Groups
• No intermediary servers are involved
• The text is processed and stored only on your device
• Shared text is deleted from temporary storage after 10 seconds

4. Third-Party Services

Breu does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics providers, or advertising networks. There are no:

• Analytics frameworks (no Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Social media integrations
• Crash reporting services
• Cloud storage providers

5. Internet Connection

Breu works completely offline and does not require an internet connection. The app does not:

• Make network requests
• Connect to remote servers
• Download or upload any data
• Communicate with external services

6. Children's Privacy

Because we collect no personal information whatsoever, Breu is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) by design—we don't collect any data from anyone.

7. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, etc.)
• Data is encrypted by iOS's standard file system encryption
• We have no servers that could be breached
• There's no cloud storage that could be compromised

8. Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to:

• Access or review
• Delete or modify
• Share with third parties
• Use for any purpose

You have complete control over your data simply by managing the app on your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this policy and notify users through an app update. However, our core commitment to zero data collection will never change.
