Welcome to Breu! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Breu mobile application ("App") for iOS devices. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Breu, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Breu on your personal iOS device solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Redistribute or resell the App without authorization

3. User Content and Responsibility

Your Content

Breu allows you to paste and read text content. You are solely responsible for:

• Any text you input into the App
• Ensuring you have the right to use and read such content
• Compliance with copyright laws and intellectual property rights
• Any consequences arising from your use of copyrighted material

Copyright Compliance

You must have appropriate rights or permissions to read any content you paste into Breu. We do not monitor or have access to your content, but you agree to use the App only with legally obtained materials.

4. Scientific Claims and Educational Purpose

Breu is based on published scientific research in cognitive psychology and reading sciences, including RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) technology. However:

• Individual results may vary
• The App is intended for general reading improvement, not medical or therapeutic purposes
• We make no guarantees about specific reading speed improvements
• Reading comprehension depends on many individual factors

5. Privacy and Data

As detailed in our Privacy Policy:

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your reading content
• All processing occurs locally on your device
• We do not track your usage or reading habits
• Your privacy is protected by design

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, algorithms, code, and all intellectual property rights therein, is owned by Breu and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any content or results

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or use of the App
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the App (if applicable)

9. Health and Safety

While using Breu:

• Take regular breaks to prevent eye strain
• Adjust brightness and contrast to comfortable levels
• Do not use the App while driving or operating machinery
• If you experience dizziness, headaches, or discomfort, stop use immediately
• Consult a healthcare provider if you have concerns about using screen-based reading tools

10. App Updates and Changes

We may:

• Update the App to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add features
• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Update these Terms with notice provided through the App or website

Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the changes.

11. Third-Party Services

Breu may interact with iOS system features (clipboard, share extensions) but does not integrate with third-party services. You are responsible for complying with Apple's terms of service for iOS.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the App for violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the App shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts.

15. Children's Use

Breu is suitable for users of all ages. For users under 13, we recommend parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children (see our Privacy Policy).

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Breu regarding use of the App and supersede all prior agreements.
